Start your morning with a warm Dorothy's Huckleberry Jam Filled Muffin each one with huckleberry jam baked right in the middle.  (Makes approx. 12)

CONTAINS: WHEAT

Contains: MIX: Flour, sugar, brown sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, Natural Vanilla bean, powder, baking soda.

JAM: Sugar, huckleberries, pectin, citric acid.

Directions:

Pre-Heat Oven to  350 Degrees  Set aside the jar of jam. Spray or line a muffin tin (10-12)

Combine:  2/3 Cup sour cream, 1/3 Cup melted butter, 1 egg, 2 TBLs Water -   Whisk together...

ADD: To the Dry Mix and fold in until just mixed - do not over mix. 

USE 2/3 of the batter and divide evenly to partially fill the muffin cups.  Spoon a small amount of the JAM into the center of each muffin cup. 

Use the remaining the Batter to cover the jam.  

BAKE FOR 16 to 18 MINUTES - check for doneness with toothpick. Cool before serving.

    Absolutely Perfect! These are the best muffins I have ever tasted. They are light and fluffy, slightly sweet with the jam baked in the middle. You definitely can not just eat one. I would love to be able to buy the muffin mix also as I have so many wonderful Jams from Dorothy that would also work perfect but Huckleberry is the family favorite. You have to try the delicious muffin mix and don't just buy one pack. I bought 2 and I should have gotten more. These are wonderful sitting outside on the deck in the mountains on an early morning enjoying muffins and coffee while we are enjoying the morning breeze and gazing down at the beautiful place we live. I will be placing another order real soon.

    These muffins are very moist, probably due to the addition of sour cream. Have a good flavor. I made them as directed. The jam sank to the bottoms of the muffins during baking. Not sure if this is normal but it didn't affect the taste.
